Provisional Camping
Provisional camp is an opportunity for a Scout to spend a week at camp without having to come with his Troop; camp will provide a Scoutmaster and Troop leadership for all provisional Scouts in attendance. The Scout will work on the merit badges and rank advancements that are offered during the regular summer season, or participate in any of the older-boy programs described above. Provisional camping is a chance for a Scout to experience a second week of camping…whether to finish merit badges or just enjoy the fun and adventure of the outdoor program. A provisional camper can enjoy specialty programming in Camp Spencer during the sixth week.
Provisional camping is being offered at Camp Spencer during the first five weeks of the summer. Scouts attending camp for a second week will receive a $25 reduction in the camp fee. The Scout should bring all of his personal gear, the camp provides everything else. The provisional Troops are limited to 40 Scouts per session.
