Employment Opportunities
Our camps are always looking for good staff members. If you feel you know a Scout or Scouter that would make a difference on our staff, please have them complete an application. A summer of fun, fellowship, hard work and uncounted rewards awaits!
To be a staff member at Camp Saffran or Spencer, you must be at least 16 years of age by June 1. To be a staffer at Camp Oest, you must be at least 15 years of age by June 1.
Applications are available from the Scout Service Center and must be returned by Interview Day in late December to receive priority consideration. Each applicant will be interviewed.

Counselor-In-Training Program
The Counselor-In-Training program trains prospective camp staff members. Scouts 14 years of age by June 1, 2009 with summer camp experience and who are looking forward to serving on camp staff in the future may apply for a place on the CIT Corps.
The CIT Program will challenge Scouts to learn the skills to be a quality camp staff member. Under the direction of the Program Director, he will be trained in camp counseling, Scoutcraft skills, effective teaching, Troop duties and other personal qualities required to be a successful staff member.
The CIT will serve for at least a two-week period with an evaluation being made after each week. While there is no guarantee, participating Scouts can use this opportunity to develop and demonstrate those qualities sought after in future camp staff members. Recreational activities and personal advancement opportunities will also be available. Boys interested should submit a staff application and attend Interview Day, if possible.
